Sharon Jones Concert

Last night I went to the Sharon Jones concert at a venue called The National (http://www.thenationalva.com/) It’s got to be one of the best venues I’ve every been to. It’s an old theatre that has been converted to a concert venue. There are multiple walk up bars, included one full bar that serves food. There is a balcony upstairs that you can sit in, or get season tickets for. The downstairs is standing room only, but the stage is about three feet lower than standard, so you are that much closer to the bands. The best part… they have a state-of-the-art V-DOSC sound system, It’s only the sixth installed in the country and only the third installed on the East Coast (basically this means their sound system is bigger, better and clearer than anything you’ve heard in the past).
